CHINA, SHANGHAI, 5 NOVEMBER 2019ESET, the global cybersecurity solutions provider, will be hosting an event titled ‘ESET Security Day’ at the Renaissance Shanghai Hotel on 5 November 2019. The event will feature top ESET executives and spokespeople such as Parvinder Walia, ESET Sales and Marketing Director, Asia Pacific and Japan, Robert Lipovský - Senior Malware Researcher, ESET and Alexis Dorais-Joncas - Security Intelligence Team Lead, ESET,

“A recent ESET survey found that at least 45% of organisations in China have experienced a data breach in the past two years. This is worrying for a developed market like China where e-commerce, digital payments and a host of digital interactions are a norm. As we continue to advance into the digital world, so do the sophistication of the threats within the cyber threat landscape,” said Parvinder Walia, ESET Sales and Marketing Director, Asia Pacific and Japan

Themed ‘Perseverance and Solidarity’, the ESET Security Day event looks to raise awareness and educate attendees on the importance of cybersecurity through a series of sharing sessions. Topics of discussion include the best practices to avoid ransomware and the latest Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) that pose a risk to national security and critical infrastructure, such as OceanLotus. In addition, attendees will also learn more about Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions and their benefits.

“Cybersecurity and cyber education are a necessity in our rapidly digitalising world. More organisations are looking to new technology such as Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and IoT connectivity, to improve the efficiency of their operations. Globally, as we grow increasingly reliant on this technology, it is crucial to ensure that we utilise the necessary cybersecurity solutions to keep our data and interactions secure,” added Parvinder.
